Il figlio delle due bambole malvage Chucky e Tiffany protagoniste del precedente episodio è in piena crisi di identità; per capire chi è veramente va alla ricerca dei propri genitori, che trova impegnati nella riedizione cinematografica del precedente episodio, con la mitica Jennifer Tilly nel ruolo di se stessa!
Il piccolo non sa che i propri genitori sono bambole possedute, e questo non gioverà al suo già precario equilibrio mentale: ben presto viene coinvolto nei sanguinosi piani delle due bambole, che si ritrovano impacciati nell'inaspettato ruolo di genitori.
Metacinematografico fino al midollo, mantiene lo stile del precedente, pur virando più sul rapporto comico-psicologico tra genitori e figlio ed inserendo un po' meno violenza (beh, insomma... non è che la gente non venga decapitata/arsa/accoltellata/sventrata/etcetcetcata
)Da recuperare, almeno per gli amanti della serie.

Trama:
The killer doll is back! The all-new film is the fifth in the popular series of Chucky ("Child's Play") horror comedies. Making his directorial debut is the franchise creator and writer of all five films, Don Mancini. The film introduces Glen (voiced by "The Lord of the Rings" star Billy Boyd), the orphan doll offspring of the irrepressible devilish-doll-come-to-life Chucky (again voiced by series star Brad Dourif) and his equally twisted bride Tiffany (again voiced by Jennifer Tilly). When production starts on a movie detailing the urban legend of his parents' lethal exploits, Glen heads for Hollywood where he brings his bloodthirsty parents back from the dead. The family dynamics are far from perfect as Chucky and Tiffany go Hollywood and get rolling on a new spree of murderous mayhem; much to gentle Glen's horror. Chucky can't believe that his child doesn't want to walk in his murdering footsteps, and star-struck Tiffany can't believe that the movie will star her favorite actress, Jennifer Tilly (playing herself), who soon becomes an unwitting hostess to this new family in more ways than one...
Trivia random: When the floor manager at the beginning of the film shouts "Hey, Tiffany's left arm is loose again" and then the arm grabs his crotch, this is an in-joke as revealed on the DVD commentary for "Bride of Chucky". Jennifer Tilly explains that Chucky's left arm kept grabbing her breasts during shoots.

An actress who always attracts audiences' attention, Jennifer Tilly is by turns funny, sexy, compassionate, compelling and often all at once.Her breakthrough movie role tapped into all of those qualities failing singer Blanche "Monica" Moran in Steven Kloves' The Fabulous Baker Boys (1989) opposite brothers Jeff Bridges and Beau Bridges. A few years later, Jennifer earned an Academy Award nomination for her portrayal of the aspiring but hopelessly untalented actress Olive Neal in Woody Allen's Bullets Over Broadway (1994).
