Nell'assolvere la sua funzione di puro intrattenimento,
L'Incredibile Hulk spacca il non-così-vecchio
Hulk di
Ang Lee.
Pur non mancando il solito scorcio di psicologia e sentimenti (comunque basilari, per quanto ben rappresentati), dove veramente eccelle è in ritmo ed azione: quasi due ore che passano lisce, senza noia o stanchezza.
La trama di fatto riscrive la vicenda del gigante verde; questa volta niente nano-macchine, ma esperimenti che si richiamano ad un certo siero ben noto ai lettori di fumetti Marvel.
Bruce Banner è riuscito a fuggire ed a nascondersi per qualche tempo; scoperto, dovrà rischiare se vuole cercare una cura per la sua condizione (piiirla!
)
Il resto, è una scusa per venire alle mani con il cattivo di turno: l'
Abominio.
Di ottimo livello il cast: sempre una garanzia
Norton,
Tim Roth e
William Hurt (veeecchio!), anche
Liv Tyler se la cava, per quel che è il suo ruolo.
Temevo molto
Louis Leterrier alla regia, ed invece si è rivelato piuttosto capace nell'evitare tempi morti e stonature; va detto che la sceneggiatura di
Zak Penn gli ha dato di sicuro una buona mano. E qui c'è da dire che apprezzo la scelta di far morire, benché sempre fuori scena, le comparsucole varie: detesto i film che si preoccupano di farmi vedere che tutte le persone coinvolte in catastrofi assortite ne escono senza neanche un graffio...
Il
Vecchiaccio fa una comparsata che supera in genio quella in
Iron Man, ed è pure funzionale alla trama. Ormai quasi stupefacente che altri due o tre, in sala, lo abbiano riconosciuto.
Notevoli gli effetti speciali: se Hulk può ancora essere migliorato come qualità delle texture, la fisica è qualcosa di spettacolare: quando i due gianduioni si tirano delle gran tozze,
le senti arrivare.
Difetti? Beh, in fondo la trama è di una semplicità disarmante, e l'Abominio è un po' troppo "hulkesco": più varietà non sarebbe stata male. Inoltre quest'ultimo eccede un poco nel parlare: alcune ovvietà sarebbe stato opportuno evitarle.
Finale col botto: entra in scena
Robert Downey Jr. nei panni di
Tony Stark e dice qualcosa che spalanca le porte ad uno dei film più costosi e tozzi della storia del cinema. Attendiamo fiduciosi.
Scherzi a parte: molto intelligente da parte di produttori e sceneggiatori, il cercare di rendere coeso l'universo Marvel cinematografico, per quanto possibile.

Edward also has two younger siblings named James and Molly. From the age of 5 onward, the Yale graduate (majoring in history) has always been interested in acting. At the age of 8, he would ask his drama teacher what his motivation in a scene was.
