Costo contenuto, qualità del prodotto, qualità del servizio, reperibilità.
Quando si va a comprare una serie (peggio che mai se animata), in Italia va
di lusso se si riesce ad ottenere anche una sola delle sopra citate caratteristiche. Se ne ottieni due, puoi gridare al miracolo.
La fauna è varia:
- c'è chi ha il coraggio di pubblicare col l'audio in mono Il Mistero Della Pietra Azzurra,
- chi ha un concetto di deluxe edition che consiste nell'avere l'audio in DTS ed una orripilante cartolina che sembra una pessima stampa di un frame del film,
- chi scambia il contenuto di due prodotti in uscita (volevi vederti un OAV di Ken Il Guerriero? Col piffero: nella confezione ci trovi un DVD di RahXephon. E viceversa...),
- chi pianta le serie dopo i primi due dvd (no no, che nessuno dica che è sospesa: prima o poi esce, devi solo aspettare e vedrai che prima della pensione avrai tutti e 7 i dvd),
- chi scazza la compressione MPEG (tecnologia sperimentale, si sa...) e ci mette oltre 4 mesi per farti avere il DVD sostitutivo - che non ho ancora visto, tra l'altro,
- chi annuncia una marea di uscite e poi le pubblica dopo 1 o 2 anni (Jin-Rô anyone?). Forse,
- chi fa uscite a periodicità random (anche due anni e mezzo o tre per serie di 26 episodi?) e poi magari si sveglia solo quando scopre che gli stanno per scadere i diritti di pubblicazione,
- chi, pur avendo già spuntanto una o più delle precedenti voci, fa lo splendido e pubblica ogni DVD in due versioni: una normale ed una con la cartolina/il gadget/l'extra/il vibratore di Quon.
Ed ho taciuto sui prezzi: prima uscita italiana di
Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex a 18 euro, la serie completa su
http://www.amazon.co.uk l'ho pagata 31 sterline; il boxset di
Firefly 12 sterline (dio sa se uscirà in Italia); non l'ho presa, ma se avessi voluto una intera stagione di
Enterprise l'avrei pagata 33 sterline (invece che 99 euro).
Mi sono, da tempo, rotto i maroni.

Trivia random: Many of the weapons, vehicles, and equipment used are from the World War II period, mainly of German design. Some weapons include a modified version of the MG42 machine gun, the MP44 assault rifle, the FG42 rifle, a Panzerfaust rocket, and several British Sten guns. World War II German period vehicles, such as the Kubelwagen and Volkswagen, are also present.

Trivia random: In the opening song, tattoos are described as being "chiselled in". This refers to the traditional Japanese art of tattooing, irezumi, where the ink was in former times inserted into the skin not with a needle but with chisel-like implements.
