gemelli Pang (che nome fichissimo,
Oxide!), meglio noti per essere autori del
The Eye originale, hanno resistito ben poco alle sirene del cinema americano.
Non ho grande stima per questo filone horror asiatico tutto bimbetti inquietanti, ed ancor meno per gli epigoni occidentali; questo
The Messengers non propone molto più del visetto e delle tettine 17enni della protagonista.
Famiglia in crisi (anche economica) si improvvisa coltivatrice dopo il trasferimento in una catapecchia di fattoria. Oscure presenze infestano la casa, e mentre lo spettatore sbadiglia della grossa.
Non succede quasi nulla, e quel poco è prevedibile con 20 minuti d'anticipo.
Ah, c'è un bimbetto inquietante - che botta d'originalità.
Comparsata, in uno dei ruoli più insensati che il cinema ricordi, del buon vecchio
Smoking Man.

In Daoist belief, there are two Grim Reapers, the White and Black "Wu Chang". The Black Reaper is the one that escorts the newly dead to the "other world" of "afterlife".
