È un film cazzaro all'estremo, disgustoso, stupido, cretino e fiero d'esserlo.

Rodriguez, Robert (I)
Nome di battesimo: Rodriguez, Robert Anthony
Data di nascita: 20 June 1968
Altezza: 6' 2" (1.88 m)
Coniuge: Elizabeth Avellan::(9 July 1990 - present) (separated) 5 children
Ultimi lavori: Biografia:Robert Rodriguez was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, USA. At a very young age he showed an interest in cartooning and filmmaking and devoted all his time to this developing fascination. Finally it resulted for him in making real movies, and just first of them - Mariachi, El (1992) - made him the legend of independent ultra-low budget filmmaking. His further career is a sign for young filmmakers that even the most wild dream may come true if you are brave enough to follow your own path. Since then Robert has written, directed, and/or produced up to 10 cool movies, such as Desperado (1995), From Dusk Till Dawn (1996), The Faculty (1998) and Spy Kids (2001).
Trivia random: Is an accomplished chef.
Citazione random: "I didn't want Frank [Miller, creator of the comic "Sin City" and co-writer on the film] to be treated just as a writer because he is the only one who has actually been to 'Sin City'. I am making such a literal interpretation of his book that I'd have felt weird taking directing credit without him. It was easier for me to quietly resign because otherwise I'd have been force to make compromises I was unwilling to make, or set a precedent that might hurt the guild later on." -- March, 2004 in response to why he left the Directors' Guild of America just before the filming of Sin City (2005)

Trejo, Danny
Nome di battesimo: Trejo, Dan
Data di nascita: 16 May 1944
Altezza: 5' 6½" (1.69 m)
Coniuge: Debbie Trejo::(? - present) 2 children
Ultimi lavori: Biografia:A child drug addict and criminal, Danny Trejo was in and out of jail for 11 years. While serving time in San Quentin, he won the lightweight and welterweight boxing titles. Imprisoned for armed robbery and drug offenses, he successfully completed a 12-step rehabilitation program that changed his life. While speaking at a Cocaine Anonymous meeting in 1985, Trejo met a young man who later called him for support. Trejo went to meet him at what turned out to be the set of Runaway Train (1985). Trejo was immediately offered a role as a convict extra, probably because of his tough tattooed appearance. Also on the set was a screenwriter who did time with Trejo in San Quentin. Remembering Trejo's boxing skills, the screenwriter offered him $350 per day to train the actors for a boxing match. Director Andrei Konchalovsky saw Trejo training Eric Roberts and immediately offered him a featured role as Roberts' opponent in the film. Trejo has subsequently appeared in many other films, usually as a tough criminal or villain.
Trivia random: Trejo spent much of the 1960s in jail - Tracy (1963-65), San Quentin (1965-68), Soledad (1968-69).
Citazione random: I'll be watching TV and all of a sudden I'll think, 'Hey, I'm in this!' A lot of times I don't even know the names of [the movies]. I just show up. From 1985, when I first started, to 1990, I did a shit-load of B-movies about prisons. They would always say, 'Get that Mexican guy with the big tattoo.' I'd show up and I'd have one line, like, 'Kill 'em all!' or something.

Russell, Kurt (I)
Nome di battesimo: Russell, Kurt Vogel
Data di nascita: 17 March 1951
Altezza: 5' 10" (1.78 m)
Coniuge: Season Hubley::(1979 - 1984) (divorced) 1 son
Ultimi lavori: Biografia:Kurt Russell landed a part in the Elvis Presley movie, It Happened at the World's Fair (1963) when he was 10 years old. In 1960, Walt Disney himself signed Russell to a 10 year contract. Once his stint as a child actor ended, he spent the early 1970's playing minor league baseball. In 1979, he gave a classic performance as Elvis Presley in John Carpenter's ABC-TV movie. He followed with roles in a string of well-received films: Used Cars (1980), Escape from New York (1981), The Thing (1982) and Silkwood (1983). In 1983 he met Goldie Hawn when they worked together on Swing Shift (1984). The two have lived together ever since. The movie was a failure - as was their next one together, Overboard (1987). During the 1980's, Russell starred in a rash of disappointments: The Best of Times (1986), Big Trouble in Little China (1986) and Winter People (1989). Finally, his career seemed to be seriously stalled. He only landed Tango & Cash (1989) after Patrick Swayze dropped out; Dennis Quaid was the first choice for the part in Backdraft (1991). In the end, these two roles were key in re-establishing him as a box-office draw. Russell and Goldie Hawn live on a 72-acre retreat, Home Run Ranch, outside of Aspen. He has two sons, Boston Russell (from a brief marriage to actress Season Hubley) and Wyatt Russell with Goldie Hawn).
Trivia random: Said in his audio commentary for Big Trouble in Little China (1986) that the test audiences reacted so well to the film that he thought for sure that he and director friend John Carpenter had a box office hit on their hands. However, the studio put so little effort into advertising the film that it ultimately didn't do as well at the box office but became a cult favorite instead.

He waited tables and tended bar for a living until he began to get roles in plays. While tending bar one night he was seen by a casting director who liked his personality and needed a bartender for a small movie role.
Trivia random: After dating Brooke Burns for ten months and finally being engaged to her they decided to split because of the difficulties with maintaining a long-distance relationship. (2 June 2004)
Citazione random: I spoke to the Colombians. It's fine. I get passionate sometimes. I said Colombia because it was the first country to come to mind. The drug problem has as much to do with what's going on in this country. If there wasn't a demand, there wouldn't be a supply.

Robert Rodriguez Genere: Action, Horror, Sci-Fi, Thriller
Valutazione: 8.3/10 (41856 voti) [#133 nella top250]
Durata: 191 min
Paese: USA
Lingua: English, Spanish
Cast:Trama:From cult movie directors Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez comes a unique film experience: a double-bill of thrillers that recall both filmmakers' favorite exploitation films. "Grindhouse" (a downtown movie theater in disrepair since its glory days as a movie palace known for "grinding out" non-stop double-bill programs of B-movies) is presented as one full-length feature comprised of two individual films helmed separately by each director. Tarantino's film, "Death Proof," is a rip-roaring slasher flick where the killer pursues his victims with a car rather than a knife, while Rodriguez's film "Planet Terror" shows us a view of the world in the midst of a zombie outbreak. The films are joined together by clever faux trailers that recall the '50s exploitation drive-in classics.
Trivia random: SPOILER: The escape in Planet Terror involving the truck and the gas tanks is an homage to Night of the Living Dead (1968), where a similar escape plan is concocted. In Night of the living Dead, the plan fails. In Planet Terror, it works.
Citazione random: Wray: Did you find what was in the pocket?::Cherry: Fuck no.::Wray: Look for it.::Cherry: [searches through one pocket]::Wray: No, the other one.::Cherry: [searches through the other pocket and takes out a box with a ring inside it]::Wray: I was gonna give it to you, but you left me. 'Cuz you took the jacket...::Cherry, Wray: ...and I looked for it for two weeks.::Wray: Read it.::Cherry: Two against the world.::Wray: Remember that?::Cherry: I never forgot it.
