Stroncatino da critica e pubblico, ho personalmente trovato
Premonition un lavoro piuttosto dignitoso.
Intendiamoci: del capolavoro (o anche solo dell'ottimo film) non ha neanche l'odore, ma se questo fosse brutto cinema ci sarebbe da baciarsi i gomiti.
Simpatico martino esce di casa per una trasferta di lavoro, mentre la simpatica mogliettina accompagna le bambine a scuola e torna a casa per le faccende domestiche. Verrà interrotta da un poliziotto, che le comunica una tragica notizia: il suddetto sposo è morto in un incidente stradale.
Tragedia e disperazione, il mattino dopo si sveglia e... trova il marituccio in cucina.
Il giorno dopo, di nuovo non c'è più.
Inizia così una serie di salti tra il prima ed il dopo l'incidente, che porteranno la protagonista sull'orlo della follia, mentre raccoglierà indizi su alcuni aspetti a lei ignoti della vita del coniuge.
Si ritroverà infine a dover scegliere se lasciare che gli eventi accadano nel modo a lei noto, o cercare di indirizzarli in maniera diversa.
Ovviamente non svelo il finale, ma dico solo che è stata fatta una
ottima scelta tra le possibili alternative.
Il film comunque, pur nella sua relativa semplicità, cattura man mano che i singoli pezzi si incastreranno, e lo spettatore avrà sufficienti indizi per dare libero sfogo alle proprie congetture.
Buoni, nei propri ruoli, sia
Sandra Bullock che
Julian McMahon; più che decoroso il
regista (che pur eccede con qualche effettino stylish).
Intendiamoci, non raggiunge le vette geniali di
Memento o di
Ricomincio da Capo, ma risulta interessante dall'inizio alla fine.
Ah, imperdibile il
poster più meraviglioso della storia (e dal vivo rendeva molto di più).

Trivia random: EASTER EGG: in the Limited Edition DVD (and in the standard Region 2 edition) allows the movie to be watched in the exact chronological order of the events in the film. The first couple scenes of the regular cut of the movie appear normal in this version, meaning they are not reversed. However, this version of the movie is on Disc 2, is quite difficult to reach (the user must answer several questions and solve a puzzle), and forward, reverse and chapter skip capabilities are disabled.

Ho visto il film qualche giorno fa e ho notato qualcosa che non mi ha convinto: se l'incidente della figlia maggiore avviene prima della morte del padre, come mai quando la madre gli da la notizia dell'incidente la bambina non ha nessun segno sul viso? poi miracolosamente i segni compaiono il giorno del funerale......
secondo me in tutti questi sbalzi temporali il regista si è un attimo incartato...... che tristezza però, possibile che nessuno della produzione se ne sia reso conto?
