Oltre alla correzione di un grave bug che preveniva il corretto accesso ai dati dai server di imdb.com, sono presenti alcune nuove features.
IMDbPY è un package Python per l'accesso e la gestione dei dati provenienti dal database di IMDb (sia via rete che in copia locale) e può accedere alle informazioni riguardanti film, persone, personaggi e compagnie.
Sono disponibili numerosi programmi basati su di esso.

Ehi, è Balla Coi Lupi coi Puffi!
Ok, ok, seriamente...
Negli extra di un filmetto quale 2001: Odissea Nello Spazio, un tale che di nome fa James Cameron argomentava: "[...] as our films get ever more spectacular 2001 reminds us that it's the ideas behind the spectacle that are still the most important special effect of all".
Non si può dire che con Avatar abbia del tutto mantenuto fede alle sue convinzioni.
Intendiamoci: non è neppure quella catastrofe che alcuni vorrebbero far credere, ma d'altra parte non vedo come possa meritarsi tutte le lodi ricevute (al netto che ognuno ha i propri gusti...)
Il mio problema fondamentale con Avatar, infatti, rientra nella categoria "ah, cosa avrebbe potuto essere, se solo...", che inevitabilmente tende a far perdere molti punti a qualsiasi film che sia inciampato proprio a metà (o forse ancora sulla linea di partenza) della corsa per diventare una ottima pellicola.
La storia la sanno anchei sassi: sulla luna Pandora c'è abbondanza del solito Unobtanium (stavolta così letteralmente nominato, scelta discutibile: posso essere trattato in maniera un poco più adulta, nella scelta dei McGuffin?) e la solita Evil Mega-Corporation vuole estrarlo; sfiga vuole che l'atmosfera sia velenosa, la vita particolarmente ostile ed anche i nativi siano un poco incazzosi, specie se gli si chiede di sloggiare dall'albero su cui nascono-vivono-copulano-muoiono.
Un approcio "soft" viene tentato attraverso il progetto Avatar: dei tizi pilotano degli ibridi umani/nativi grazie ai quali possono inserirsi nella loro società.
Come prevedibile i risultati sono nulli, e la cosa passa in mano ai militari che combinano l'usuale casino.
Storia banalotta, ma ci si potrebbe anche passare sopra; in fondo nelle sue due ore e 42 minuti "accadono cose" più o meno costantemente (per quanto tutte prevedibili con ampio anticipo) e mediamente non annoia.
Il vero difetto è la caratterizzazione dei personaggi: passi per i buoni che fanno tutto ciò che ci si aspetta da un Buono Tormentato®, ma i cattivi sono niente meno che atroci.
Sia gli uomini della compagnia che i militari sono ridicole macchiette, del tutto inadeguate a sostenere un confronto, neppure contro dei buoni da operetta morale come questi.
Ed è questo che fa rabbia: strutturato meglio, tagliandolo meno con l'accetta, il conflitto tra le parti poteva sostenere un film tanto lungo e dare uno sfondo adeguato ai messaggi che intendeva presentare.
A proposito dei messaggi: sì, certo, c'è il tema ambientalista (che onestamente sembra essere spiattellato in maniera un poco datata, forse a causa dell'eterna gestazione del film), ma francamente è talmente ostentato da suscitare più sbadigli che interesse.
Poteva anche starci se fatto bene, ma qui a tratti pare di sentir parlare un Verde italiano, che tutte le volte che aprono bocca ti vien voglia di dar fuoco ad una pila di copertoni...
Poi c'è l'antimilitarismo e la pseudo-critica sociale, ma fatta con delle parodie perde tutto il suo valore, scusami James.
Insomma, a tratti sembra di assistere ad una lezione per bambini deficienti (cielo, che cosa politicamente scorretta... )
Discutere se i Na'vi rappresentino questo-o-quello è francamente ridicolo: per quanto sono delineate le parti in causa, Jake Sully può benissimo essere il Borghezio locale che si oppone alle orde d'invasori che gli vogliono imporre la loro Cultura Differente.
Effetti speciali: niente da dire. Non si brilla in quanto ad originalità né per gli avatar né per le creature (e neanche per il mecha-design), ma la qualità dei pervasivi effetti è impressionante; di fatto non c'è scena che non sia stata ampiamente rimaneggiata al computer.
Si potevano sfruttare le enormi risorse a disposizione in maniera più creativa? Sì certo, ma impressiona anche così, e lo dico da persona che non ama a morte il fantasy, specie a livello visivo.
Sì, fantasy: pur ammantandola con quasi tutti i crismi della fantascienza, Cameron ha fatto un film che a livello estetico è in tutto e per tutto un fantasy (per la distinzione tra i generi rivolgersi al compianto Arthur C. Clarke); scelta che a me suscita un po' di noia, ma che ha senza dubbio i suoi vantaggi commerciali: ad oggi, la fantascienza pura al cinema non la vendi, punto.
Alla regia Cameron non aggiunge nulla a nessun genere, ma fa il suo discreto lavoro; sulle prove attoriali non mi esprimo: quelli in carne ed ossa sono mediamenti ridicoli (sì, anche Ribisi e la Rodriguez), ma restano talmente poco sullo schermo che non ha molta importanza.

Sì, sì, amanti del 3D, l'ho visto con gli occhialini.
Continuo a pensare che questa tecnologia non aggiunga davvero nulla al cinema - prezzo del biglietto a parte. In un film di 2 ore e 42, costato 280 milioni di dollari ed a cui hanno lavorato l'ILM e la Weta, non c'è un momento in cui il 3D abbia assolto ad una qualche funzione. Ed il film è interamente in 3D.
Anche qui, abbiamo visto qualche fucile puntato contro il pubblico, qualche felce nella foresta e creature alate assortite. E quindi? Speravi mi distraessero dalla prevedibilità della trama?
Aggiungiamoci che costa di più, può risultare fastidioso per alcuni e che si vede peggio, e davvero continuo a non capirne la necessità per il pubblico.
Sì, si vede peggio: la luminosità ne risente eccome (e stiamo parlando di un film che ha i colori di un cartone animato) e ti costringe a tenere la testa ferma e gli occhi fissi sul centro dello schermo; anche così, poi, di tanto in tanto qualche pezzo di scena risulta fuori fase.
E che cazzo, bel cesso di tecnologia: va bene se devi mostrare un giro in giostra, ma se devi anche raccontare una storia, lasciamo perdere.
Conclusione: tornando all'inizio, non è che annoi a morte nella sua estenuante lunghezza, quindi alla fine non si può dire che sia una tragedia. Peccato non ci abbiano però messo una storia e dei personaggi degni di nota.
Voto: bah. forse siamo dalle parti di un 6.5 o giù di lì.
PS: non riesco a smettere di pensare alla larghezza di banda necessaria per il link bidirezionale tra pilota ed avatar: come minchia funzionava, quella baracca?

Arthur C. Clarke was born in the seaside town of Minehead, Somerset, England in December 16, 1917. In 1936 he moved to London, where he joined the British Interplanetary Society. There he started to experiment with astronautic material in the BIS, write the BIS Bulletin and science fiction. During World War II, as a RAF officer, he was in charge of the first radar talk-down equipment, the Ground Controlled Approach, during its experimental trials. His only non-science-fiction novel, Glide Path, is based on this work. After the war, he returned to London and to the BIS, which he presided in 46-47 and 50-53. In 1945 he published the tecnical paper "Extra-terrestrial Relays" laying down the principles of the satellite com- munication with satellites in geostationary orbits - a speculation realized 25 years later. His invention has brought him numerous honors, such as the 1982 Marconi International Fellowship, a gold medal of the Franklin Institute, the Vikram Sarabhai Professorship of the Physical Research Laboratory, Ahmedabad, the Lindbergh Award and a Fellowship of King's College, London. Today, the geostationary orbit at 42,000 kilometers is named The Clarke Orbit by the International Astronomical Union. "2001" is a story of evolution. Sometime in the distant past, someone or something nudged evolution by placing a monolith on Earth (presumably elsewhere throughout the universe as well). Evolution then enabled humankind to reach the moon's surface, where yet another monolith is found, one that signals the monolith placers that humankind has evolved that far. Now a race begins between computers (HAL) and human (Bowman) to reach the monolith placers. The winner will achieve the next step in evolution, whatever that may be.

Anche qui, abbiamo visto qualche fucile puntato contro il pubblico, qualche felce nella foresta e creature alate assortite. E quindi? Speravi mi distraessero dalla prevedibilità della trama?
Aggiungiamoci che costa di più, può risultare fastidioso per alcuni e che si vede peggio, e davvero continuo a non capirne la necessità per il pubblico.
Sì, si vede peggio: la luminosità ne risente eccome (e stiamo parlando di un film che ha i colori di un cartone animato) e ti costringe a tenere la testa ferma e gli occhi fissi sul centro dello schermo; anche così, poi, di tanto in tanto qualche pezzo di scena risulta fuori fase.
E che cazzo, bel cesso di tecnologia: va bene se devi mostrare un giro in giostra, ma se devi anche raccontare una storia, lasciamo perdere.
Conclusione: tornando all'inizio, non è che annoi a morte nella sua estenuante lunghezza, quindi alla fine non si può dire che sia una tragedia. Peccato non ci abbiano però messo una storia e dei personaggi degni di nota.
Voto: bah. forse siamo dalle parti di un 6.5 o giù di lì.
PS: non riesco a smettere di pensare alla larghezza di banda necessaria per il link bidirezionale tra pilota ed avatar: come minchia funzionava, quella baracca?

Arthur C. Clarke was born in the seaside town of Minehead, Somerset, England in December 16, 1917. In 1936 he moved to London, where he joined the British Interplanetary Society. There he started to experiment with astronautic material in the BIS, write the BIS Bulletin and science fiction. During World War II, as a RAF officer, he was in charge of the first radar talk-down equipment, the Ground Controlled Approach, during its experimental trials. His only non-science-fiction novel, Glide Path, is based on this work. After the war, he returned to London and to the BIS, which he presided in 46-47 and 50-53. In 1945 he published the tecnical paper "Extra-terrestrial Relays" laying down the principles of the satellite com- munication with satellites in geostationary orbits - a speculation realized 25 years later. His invention has brought him numerous honors, such as the 1982 Marconi International Fellowship, a gold medal of the Franklin Institute, the Vikram Sarabhai Professorship of the Physical Research Laboratory, Ahmedabad, the Lindbergh Award and a Fellowship of King's College, London. Today, the geostationary orbit at 42,000 kilometers is named The Clarke Orbit by the International Astronomical Union. The first story Clarke sold professionally was "Rescue Party", written in March 1945 and appearing in Astounding Science in May 1946. He obtained first class honors in Physics and Mathematics at the King's College, London, in 1948. In 1953 he met an American named Marilyn Torgenson, and married her less than three weeks later. They split in December 1953. As Clarke says, "The marriage was incompatibe from the beginning. It was sufficient proof that I wasn't the marrying type, although I think everybody should marry once". He worked with Peter Hyams in the movie version of 2010. They work was done using a Kaypro computer and a modem, for Arthur was in Sri Lanka and Peter Hyams in Los Angeles. Their communications turned into the book The Odyssey File - The Making of 2010. His thirteen-part TV serie Arthur C. Clarke's Mysterious World in 1981 and Arthur C. Clarke's World of strange Powers in 1984 has now been screend in many countries. He made part of other TV series about the space, as Walter Cronkite's Universe series in 1981. He has lived in Colombo, Sri Lanka since 1956 and has been doing underwater exploration along that coast and the Great Barrier Reef. So far it has been to over 70 books, almost as many non-fiction, as science fiction. In March 1998, his latest, and probably last, novel: 3001: The Final Odyssey was released.

James Cameron was born in Kapuskasing, Ontario, Canada, on August 16, 1954. He moved to the USA in 1971. Trama:
"2001" is a story of evolution. Sometime in the distant past, someone or something nudged evolution by placing a monolith on Earth (presumably elsewhere throughout the universe as well). Evolution then enabled humankind to reach the moon's surface, where yet another monolith is found, one that signals the monolith placers that humankind has evolved that far. Now a race begins between computers (HAL) and human (Bowman) to reach the monolith placers. The winner will achieve the next step in evolution, whatever that may be.
Trivia random: In honor of the book and movie, NASA named a Mars orbiter: 2001 Mars Odyssey. This was not the first time NASA had a connotation with the film; the Apollo 13 command module's callsign was Odyssey during the ill-fated mission.

garanzie e venditori
Messaggio di servizio, maturato dopo un'agghiacciante esperienza con il servizio post-vendita di un ipercoop, a cui ho dovuto promettere una lettera di messa in mora (e conseguente azione legale in caso di inadempienza) per far valere i miei diritti. E non era la prima volta che cercavano di rifilarmi la fregatura.
Lo scrivo perché in rete si trova merda allo stato puro, salvo che su qualche sito delle associazioni dei consumatori.
Non ho pretese di verità assolute, ma tutto ciò è corretto al meglio delle mie conoscenze - e considerate che ho l'abitudine di documentarmi e d'essere puntiglioso e rompicoglioni. Insomma, questa è la mia merda: magari non fidatevi troppo, ma dovrebbe essere tutto giusto.

Non ci interesseremo delle garanzie dei produttori (di solito limitate ad un anno) o di quelle accessorie/addizionali che possono intercorrere (a pagamento o meno) tra l'acquirente ed il venditore o il produttore.
Il mio interesse nel caso specifico verteva sulla garanzia legale, definita dal Decreto Legislativo n. 24 del 2 febbraio 2002 (in recepimento della direttiva europea 1999/44/CE), inserito nel codice del consumo (titolo III, in particolare l'articolo 130).

Nel senso: che il difetto sia effettivamente di conformità, che non lo abbiate rotto voi o cose del genere.
Questa copertura si applica solo per acquisti fatti come privati, quindi cascate male se vi siete fatti fare fattura.
La copertura vale solo per danni rilevanti, non da usura e che inficino l'uso primario del prodotto.

La garanzia ha durata di due anni. Il difetto va segnalato entro 2 mesi.
Ergo: sono passati 2 anni ed 1 mese da quando avete comprato un oggetto che si è rotto entro il termine della garanzia e di cui solo ora avete ritrovato lo scontrino? Bene, siete ancora in tempo per riportarlo al venditore (onestamente: in un caso del genere, se riuscite a farvi dare ragione senza un travaso di bile siete dei fenomeni - ma la legge lo consente).

Nei due anni, potete andare dal venditore. Nel primo anno può aver senso rivolgersi al produttore (fare ciò non fa decadere la garanzia legale di 2 anni) perché di solito ci si sbriga prima, ma non siete tenuti a farlo: se volete andare dal venditore, è vostro diritto (anche nel primo anno).
In quest'ultimo caso il venditore è il vostro unico interlocutore: da lì in avanti DEVE essere lui a risolvere la faccenda.
A sentire l'ipercoop io avrei dovuto farmelo riparare sborsando il costo di tasca mia, che poi mi sarebbe stato rimborsato (cosa di cui non dubito, ma... CAZZATE: io non sono tenuto a seguire una simile procedura).

Se riparazione o sostituzione sono fattibili e non eccessivamente gravose per il venditore, questi può:
1. farvi riparare l'oggetto, senza spese di alcun tipo per voi.
2. sostituirvi l'oggetto con uno identico.
Se riparazione e sostituzione risultassero infattibili o eccessivamente onerose, il cliente può ottenere la risoluzione del contratto (il che significa restituzione completa del contante speso) o, dove ragionevole, una rimborso parziale che tenga conto del periodo in cui si è utilizzato il bene, della sua svalutazione e simili.
Poi sono sempre possibili vari compromessi che però in quanto tali devono soddisfare entrambe le parti e non siete tenuti ad accettare: si può sostituire il prodotto guasto con uno equivalente, si può ottenere un reso sotto forma di buoni-spesa da utilizzare nello stesso negozio e così via.
Tra questi c'è sicuramente la possibilità di un rimborso in seguito a riparazione effettuata a vostre spese (come mi era stato proposto), ma non siete tenuti ad accettare.
E se quella è l'unica soluzione che vi viene proposta, stanno violando la legge. Punto.

Nei casi normali, un intervento in garanzia sul prodotto guasto.
Se presagite rogne, suggerirei di andarci giù pesante: per la legge potete esprimere preferenza sul tipo d'intervento.
Io chiederei esplicitamente la restituzione completa dei soldi spesi o la sostituzione con prodotto identico, se ancora disponibile.
Se al negoziante non va bene, dimostri che questa soluzione è troppo onerosa e ne proponga un'altra (la riparazione a sue spese, necessariamente).
In generale, spiattellare le possibilità offerte dalla legge, e rifiutare qualunque soluzione vi imponga oneri.

Ribadire quelli che sono i termini di legge.
Fare presente che in caso non voglia seguire una delle possibilità offerte dalla legge, riceverà una lettera di messa in mora a cui seguirà - in caso di inadempienza - una azione legale; per piccole cifre di solito ci si rivolge al giudice di pace.
Può aver senso contattare una associazione dei consumatori (che però vi aiuteranno solo se vi associate, di norma) e far presente la cosa alla locale camera di commercio, che sarebbe preposta anche a vigilare sul rispetto di queste norme (che poi lo faccia, non ne ho idea).

Trascorsi sei mesi dall'acquisto, se il venditore conosce la legge ed ha voglia di piantarvi grane può fare una cosa molto semplice: farvi sostenere l'onere della prova che il prodotto è guasto e si tratta di un difetto di conformità (prima dei sei mesi, vale il contrario: è lui a dover dimostrare che il difetto non è tale, se ne ha voglia).
In generale non dovrebbe volerci molto, ma potrebbero esistere casi particolari in cui solo una perizia può stabilire che si tratti in effetti di un difetto di conformità; parliamo comunque di acquisti di grande valore, e credo sia il caso di arrivare ad una perizia solo in sede di processo (ergo: prima lo chiamate in causa, poi fate fare la perizia - in casi del genere, rivolgersi ad un avvocato).
2. La legge prevede esplicitamente che i tempi dell'intervento debbano essere ragionevoli ed in generale che la cosa non debba causare troppi inconvenienti per il cliente.
3. La legge è più complessa di come l'ho descritta e copre altri casi particolari: leggetela e valutatela attentamente.

Dopo incazzature, consulenze coi centri assistenza del produttore, spiegazioni di cosa prevede la legge, ulteriori sfuriate, scalate a responsabili-dei-responsabili-dei-responsabili si è scoperto che... aveva ragione chi rompeva i coglioni.
Impossibilitati ad effettuare un intervento di riparazione dato che il produttore pare abbia canali d'assistenza riservati ai soli privati (ma comunque, coglioni-coglioni: farsi un contratto d'assistenza e/o una assicurazione che copra il secondo anno di garanzia, no? Tenete presente che parlo di un prodotto di enorme successo di una delle maggiori case di elettronica del mondo) ed essendo troppo difficile per chissà quale motivo la sostituzione con prodotto identico, pur disponibile in negozio (nuovo modello senza apprezzabili miglioramenti o differenze, dal prezzo uguale a quanto pagai io) hanno optato per la soluzione che per loro è di gran lunga la più onerosa: il rimborso completo.
Hanno fatto un onesto () tentativo di rifilarmi il reso in buoni sconti, a fronte del quale ho preteso il contante.
Speso, 5 minuti dopo, nel negozio accanto dove lo stesso oggetto costava pure 10 euro in meno (e dove so non ci sono problemi in caso di guasti nel secondo anno).
Piccole soddisfazioni - oltre al fatto che ho un oggetto nuovo con due anni pieni di garanzia.
Però che fatica fottuta.

2. Quasi nessuno pianta grane.
Il grosso della gente secondo me non tiene gli scontrini e/o non sa che la garanzia di legge copre due anni: legge il foglio di garanzia accluso (quella del produttore), che invariabilmente copre solo il primo anno.
Oppure va dal negoziante, e si fida di quel che gli dice lui: dopo tutto se la tua coop ti manda in un centro assistenza e poi ti tocca tornare per farti rimborsare quanto speso, vuoi che non abbia ragione? (no, non ce l'ha).
3. L'ipercoop, anno del Signore 2010, va quasi costretta a rispettare una legge del 2002. Niente di personale contro le signorine del punto post-vendita, ci mancherebbe: non son loro che decidono come comportarsi.
Mi aspetterei però un po' più di buon senso dai medio-livello: diamine, istruisci chi è a contatto col pubblico a riconoscere chi ha ragione e chi no. Mi son sentito dire "ma perché lei è l'unico che non accetta la soluzione che a tutti gli altri va bene?" - perché a me non va bene e legge alla mano non sono tenuto ad accettarla. Giusto che tu ci abbia provato, ma dato che rompo i coglioni ed ho ragione (combinazione sempre letale ), lascia perdere: riprovaci col prossimo che capita.
Non ho invece capito se ho imparato a NON effettuare mai più acquisti simili all'ipercoop, o a continuare a tutto spiano: se tutte le volte - previa litigata - ti restituiscono il contante...
No, seriamente: mai più al mondo a meno che non sia talmente conveniente da far passare in secondo piano il fattore garanzia (ma voglio almeno il 50% di sconto).

Non ci interesseremo delle garanzie dei produttori (di solito limitate ad un anno) o di quelle accessorie/addizionali che possono intercorrere (a pagamento o meno) tra l'acquirente ed il venditore o il produttore.
Il mio interesse nel caso specifico verteva sulla garanzia legale, definita dal Decreto Legislativo n. 24 del 2 febbraio 2002 (in recepimento della direttiva europea 1999/44/CE), inserito nel codice del consumo (titolo III, in particolare l'articolo 130).

Si suppone abbiate ragione.
Nel senso: che il difetto sia effettivamente di conformità, che non lo abbiate rotto voi o cose del genere.
Questa copertura si applica solo per acquisti fatti come privati, quindi cascate male se vi siete fatti fare fattura.
La copertura vale solo per danni rilevanti, non da usura e che inficino l'uso primario del prodotto.

La garanzia ha durata di due anni. Il difetto va segnalato entro 2 mesi.
Ergo: sono passati 2 anni ed 1 mese da quando avete comprato un oggetto che si è rotto entro il termine della garanzia e di cui solo ora avete ritrovato lo scontrino? Bene, siete ancora in tempo per riportarlo al venditore (onestamente: in un caso del genere, se riuscite a farvi dare ragione senza un travaso di bile siete dei fenomeni - ma la legge lo consente).

Nei due anni, potete andare dal venditore. Nel primo anno può aver senso rivolgersi al produttore (fare ciò non fa decadere la garanzia legale di 2 anni) perché di solito ci si sbriga prima, ma non siete tenuti a farlo: se volete andare dal venditore, è vostro diritto (anche nel primo anno).
In quest'ultimo caso il venditore è il vostro unico interlocutore: da lì in avanti DEVE essere lui a risolvere la faccenda.
A sentire l'ipercoop io avrei dovuto farmelo riparare sborsando il costo di tasca mia, che poi mi sarebbe stato rimborsato (cosa di cui non dubito, ma... CAZZATE: io non sono tenuto a seguire una simile procedura).

Se riparazione o sostituzione sono fattibili e non eccessivamente gravose per il venditore, questi può:
1. farvi riparare l'oggetto, senza spese di alcun tipo per voi.
2. sostituirvi l'oggetto con uno identico.
Se riparazione e sostituzione risultassero infattibili o eccessivamente onerose, il cliente può ottenere la risoluzione del contratto (il che significa restituzione completa del contante speso) o, dove ragionevole, una rimborso parziale che tenga conto del periodo in cui si è utilizzato il bene, della sua svalutazione e simili.
Poi sono sempre possibili vari compromessi che però in quanto tali devono soddisfare entrambe le parti e non siete tenuti ad accettare: si può sostituire il prodotto guasto con uno equivalente, si può ottenere un reso sotto forma di buoni-spesa da utilizzare nello stesso negozio e così via.
Tra questi c'è sicuramente la possibilità di un rimborso in seguito a riparazione effettuata a vostre spese (come mi era stato proposto), ma non siete tenuti ad accettare.
E se quella è l'unica soluzione che vi viene proposta, stanno violando la legge. Punto.

Nei casi normali, un intervento in garanzia sul prodotto guasto.
Se presagite rogne, suggerirei di andarci giù pesante: per la legge potete esprimere preferenza sul tipo d'intervento.
Io chiederei esplicitamente la restituzione completa dei soldi spesi o la sostituzione con prodotto identico, se ancora disponibile.
Se al negoziante non va bene, dimostri che questa soluzione è troppo onerosa e ne proponga un'altra (la riparazione a sue spese, necessariamente).
In generale, spiattellare le possibilità offerte dalla legge, e rifiutare qualunque soluzione vi imponga oneri.

Ribadire quelli che sono i termini di legge.
Fare presente che in caso non voglia seguire una delle possibilità offerte dalla legge, riceverà una lettera di messa in mora a cui seguirà - in caso di inadempienza - una azione legale; per piccole cifre di solito ci si rivolge al giudice di pace.
Può aver senso contattare una associazione dei consumatori (che però vi aiuteranno solo se vi associate, di norma) e far presente la cosa alla locale camera di commercio, che sarebbe preposta anche a vigilare sul rispetto di queste norme (che poi lo faccia, non ne ho idea).

Trascorsi sei mesi dall'acquisto, se il venditore conosce la legge ed ha voglia di piantarvi grane può fare una cosa molto semplice: farvi sostenere l'onere della prova che il prodotto è guasto e si tratta di un difetto di conformità (prima dei sei mesi, vale il contrario: è lui a dover dimostrare che il difetto non è tale, se ne ha voglia).
In generale non dovrebbe volerci molto, ma potrebbero esistere casi particolari in cui solo una perizia può stabilire che si tratti in effetti di un difetto di conformità; parliamo comunque di acquisti di grande valore, e credo sia il caso di arrivare ad una perizia solo in sede di processo (ergo: prima lo chiamate in causa, poi fate fare la perizia - in casi del genere, rivolgersi ad un avvocato).
2. La legge prevede esplicitamente che i tempi dell'intervento debbano essere ragionevoli ed in generale che la cosa non debba causare troppi inconvenienti per il cliente.
3. La legge è più complessa di come l'ho descritta e copre altri casi particolari: leggetela e valutatela attentamente.

Dopo incazzature, consulenze coi centri assistenza del produttore, spiegazioni di cosa prevede la legge, ulteriori sfuriate, scalate a responsabili-dei-responsabili-dei-responsabili si è scoperto che... aveva ragione chi rompeva i coglioni.

l'ultima casa a sinistra
Non che abbia visto l'originale di Wes Craven (a sua volta indicato come rifacimento non-so-quanto-fedele de La Fontana della Vergine di Bergman), ma sospetto non ci fosse tutto questo bisogno di un remake.
L'Ultima Casa A Sinistra pare invece soddisfare appieno il raffinato gusto del pubblico americano, che gli rifila un bel 6.7 su IMDb. Mi vien da pensare che un qualche virus molto selettivo abbia sterminato tutti gli amanti del genere horror, negli ultimi anni...
Il capo di una sgangherata combriccola criminale viene fatto evadere durante il trasferimento in carcere; questo tizio è proprio cattivo, credete a me, ma non ha neppure tutti i torti ad essere adirato col mondo: si ritrova infatti a capo di un gruppetto di inetti tali, che fa quasi tenerezza.
A salvarlo - sul breve periodo, se non altro - il fratello erotomane, il giovane figlio che come tutti gli adolescenti si oppone al padre e vorrebbe diventare Un Buono® (un po' come Grisù vorrebbe fare il pompiere) e la presunta fidanzata.
Anche lei è cattiva che ammazza: pensate che arriva addirittura a togliersi la maglietta sotto cui non indossa nulla di fronte alla telecamera. E se vi sembra una scena gratuita e niente affatto malvagia, pensate a quelle che a differenza di lei hanno bisogno del reggiseno...
Cooomunque... per una serie di coincidenze drammaticamente stupide (vedi alla voce: "cercarsi rogne"), due giovincelle - di cui una in vacanza coi genitori nella summenzionata Ultima Casa A Sinistra - finiranno ostaggi di questi pirla.
Fortuna che il SUV su cui viaggiano è sufficientemente spazioso e comodo per tutti, almeno fintanto non si schiantano nella boscaglia dove potremo finalmente dedicarci ad un po' di salutare stupro & omicidio (non necessariamente in quest'ordine).
Sbrigate queste formalità, i malconci cattivoni potranno addirittura farsi ospitare dalla famiglia della vittima, nella casa che il provvidenziale temporale isola dal resto dell'universo.
Acuti come faine, i genitori realizzeranno però l'accaduto e non mancheranno d'opporsi fieramente ai malvagi che hanno distrutto quanto avevano di più caro (il SUV, intendo...)
Oltre al fatto che fa molto ridere - specie quando non vorrebbe - il film brilla per le fetentissime interpretazioni e la complessiva stupidità di tutti.
La tanto promessa escalation di vendetta da parte della famigliola poi resta solo nelle intenzioni (oddio: una coltellata e qualche pistolettata son buono anche io di darle, se motivato... ), e raggiunge il climax in una scena risibile e priva di logica.
Pare che in patria abbiano calcato molto sulla scena di stupro, per montare (no pun intended?) il caso e creare hype attorno al film; si stava anche senza (la scena, il film, l'hype).
Il regista ha recentemente minacciato il remake de Gli Uccelli. Anche no, grazie.

Ernst Ingmar Bergman was born 14 July 1918, son of a priest. The film and TV-series, Den goda viljan (1992) is biographical and shows the early marriage of his parents. The film 'Söndagsbarn' depicts a bicycle journey with his father. In the TV-mini Enskilda samtal (1996) (TV) is the trilogy closed. Here, as in 'Den Goda Viljan' Pernilla August play his mother. Note that all three movies are not always full true biographical stories. He began his career early with a puppet theatre which he, his sister and their friends played with. But he was the manager. Strictly professional he begun writing in 1941. He had written a play called 'Kaspers död' (aka 'Kaspers Death') which was produced the same year. It became his entrance into the movie business as Stina Bergman (not a relative), from the company SF (Swedish Filmindustry), had seen the play and thougt that there must be some dramatic talent in young Ingmar. His first job was to save other, more famous, writers poor scripts. Under one of that script-saving works he remebered that he had wrote a novel about his last year as a student. He took the novel, did the save-poor-script job first, then wrote a screenplay on his own novel. When he went back to SF, he delivered two scripts insteed of one. The script was Hets (1944) and was the fist Bergman screenplay that was put into film (by Alf Sjöberg). It was also in that movie Bergman did his first professional film-director job. Because Alf Sjöberg was busy, Bergman got order to shoot the last sequence of the film. Ingmar Bergman is the father of Daniel Bergman, director, and Mats Bergman, actor at the Swedish Royal Dramatic Theater. Ingmar Bergman was also CEO of the same theatre between 1963-66, where he hired almost every professional actor in Sweden. 1976 he had a famous tax problem. Bergman had trusted other people to give advice about his finances, but it turned out to be real bad advice. So he had to leave the country immediately, and so went to Germany. A few years later he got back to Sweden and made his last movie Fanny och Alexander (1982) (aka 'Fanny and Alexander'). He has retired from directing, but he still write scripts for film and TV and direct plays at the Swedish Royal Dramatic Theatre.

Wes was born in Cleveland in 1939 and raised in a Baptist family. After an unhappy childhood, he left Cleveland to study for a degree in English Literature, at Wheaton College, Illinois. But after illness, he left the school for one year before returning to study psychology. In 1963, he took a degree in writing and psychology and in 1964 he took a Masters from J. Hopkins University. While he was a humanities college teacher, Wes married Bonnie Broecker, mother of both his children, Jonathan and Jessica. But after few years, they separated, and the children stayed with Bonnie. Wes left his job as a teacher, and after employment as taxi driver, he became a sound editor for a post-production company in New York. And after the co-direction of Together (1971) with Sean S. Cunningham, Wes made the horror movie The Last House on the Left (1972). The movie, released in August 1972, was a big success as was his second movie, The Hills Have Eyes (1977), winning the critic's prize at the Sitges Film Festival. Wes has gone onto win many more awards, including one for the best movie at the Avoriaz Film Festival for A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984). In 1999 he directed Music of the Heart (1999), a change of direction from the horror genre for which he is known.
Trivia random: In 1976 he acted in "Tales That Will Tear Your Heart Out," a project being made under the supervision of friend Roy Frumkes, who was teaching at a state university at that time. Shortly after the filming, the raw stock was mistakingly re-exposed by another student, so both days' shooting were lost.

L'Ultima Casa A Sinistra pare invece soddisfare appieno il raffinato gusto del pubblico americano, che gli rifila un bel 6.7 su IMDb. Mi vien da pensare che un qualche virus molto selettivo abbia sterminato tutti gli amanti del genere horror, negli ultimi anni...
Il capo di una sgangherata combriccola criminale viene fatto evadere durante il trasferimento in carcere; questo tizio è proprio cattivo, credete a me, ma non ha neppure tutti i torti ad essere adirato col mondo: si ritrova infatti a capo di un gruppetto di inetti tali, che fa quasi tenerezza.
A salvarlo - sul breve periodo, se non altro - il fratello erotomane, il giovane figlio che come tutti gli adolescenti si oppone al padre e vorrebbe diventare Un Buono® (un po' come Grisù vorrebbe fare il pompiere) e la presunta fidanzata.
Anche lei è cattiva che ammazza: pensate che arriva addirittura a togliersi la maglietta sotto cui non indossa nulla di fronte alla telecamera. E se vi sembra una scena gratuita e niente affatto malvagia, pensate a quelle che a differenza di lei hanno bisogno del reggiseno...
Cooomunque... per una serie di coincidenze drammaticamente stupide (vedi alla voce: "cercarsi rogne"), due giovincelle - di cui una in vacanza coi genitori nella summenzionata Ultima Casa A Sinistra - finiranno ostaggi di questi pirla.
Fortuna che il SUV su cui viaggiano è sufficientemente spazioso e comodo per tutti, almeno fintanto non si schiantano nella boscaglia dove potremo finalmente dedicarci ad un po' di salutare stupro & omicidio (non necessariamente in quest'ordine).
Sbrigate queste formalità, i malconci cattivoni potranno addirittura farsi ospitare dalla famiglia della vittima, nella casa che il provvidenziale temporale isola dal resto dell'universo.
Acuti come faine, i genitori realizzeranno però l'accaduto e non mancheranno d'opporsi fieramente ai malvagi che hanno distrutto quanto avevano di più caro (il SUV, intendo...)
Oltre al fatto che fa molto ridere - specie quando non vorrebbe - il film brilla per le fetentissime interpretazioni e la complessiva stupidità di tutti.
La tanto promessa escalation di vendetta da parte della famigliola poi resta solo nelle intenzioni (oddio: una coltellata e qualche pistolettata son buono anche io di darle, se motivato... ), e raggiunge il climax in una scena risibile e priva di logica.
Pare che in patria abbiano calcato molto sulla scena di stupro, per montare (no pun intended?) il caso e creare hype attorno al film; si stava anche senza (la scena, il film, l'hype).
Il regista ha recentemente minacciato il remake de Gli Uccelli. Anche no, grazie.

Trama:
While being transported by two detectives in a car, the dangerous criminal Krug is rescued by his brother Francis and his girlfriend Sadie, and they brutally kill the detectives. Mari borrows the family car to meet her friend Paige that is working in a store in the town. Krug stabs Paige and rapes Mari; however Mary manages to escape, swimming in the lake, but Krug shots her on the back. They walk through the isolated road in the woods and they reach Collingwood's house telling that they have just had a car accident. Emma and John welcome the strangers until they discover what happened to their beloved daughter.

Trama:
Spoiled socialite and notorious practical joker Melanie Daniels is shopping in a San Francisco pet store when she meets Mitch Brenner. Biografia:
Ernst Ingmar Bergman was born 14 July 1918, son of a priest. The film and TV-series, Den goda viljan (1992) is biographical and shows the early marriage of his parents. The film 'Söndagsbarn' depicts a bicycle journey with his father. In the TV-mini Enskilda samtal (1996) (TV) is the trilogy closed. Here, as in 'Den Goda Viljan' Pernilla August play his mother. Note that all three movies are not always full true biographical stories. He began his career early with a puppet theatre which he, his sister and their friends played with. But he was the manager. Strictly professional he begun writing in 1941. He had written a play called 'Kaspers död' (aka 'Kaspers Death') which was produced the same year. It became his entrance into the movie business as Stina Bergman (not a relative), from the company SF (Swedish Filmindustry), had seen the play and thougt that there must be some dramatic talent in young Ingmar. His first job was to save other, more famous, writers poor scripts. Under one of that script-saving works he remebered that he had wrote a novel about his last year as a student. He took the novel, did the save-poor-script job first, then wrote a screenplay on his own novel. When he went back to SF, he delivered two scripts insteed of one. The script was Hets (1944) and was the fist Bergman screenplay that was put into film (by Alf Sjöberg). It was also in that movie Bergman did his first professional film-director job. Because Alf Sjöberg was busy, Bergman got order to shoot the last sequence of the film. Ingmar Bergman is the father of Daniel Bergman, director, and Mats Bergman, actor at the Swedish Royal Dramatic Theater. Ingmar Bergman was also CEO of the same theatre between 1963-66, where he hired almost every professional actor in Sweden. 1976 he had a famous tax problem. Bergman had trusted other people to give advice about his finances, but it turned out to be real bad advice. So he had to leave the country immediately, and so went to Germany. A few years later he got back to Sweden and made his last movie Fanny och Alexander (1982) (aka 'Fanny and Alexander'). He has retired from directing, but he still write scripts for film and TV and direct plays at the Swedish Royal Dramatic Theatre.

Trama:
On the eve of her seventeenth birthday, Mari Collingwood tells her parents that she is going to the concert of underground band Bloodlust in New York with her friend Phyllis Stone. She borrows the family's car and heads with her friend to a dangerous neighborhood in the city. The two girls seek marijuana near the theater and meet Junior that offers some Colombian grass to them. They go to his apartment and are subdued by the criminals that rape Phyllis. On the next morning, they hide the girls in the trunk of their convertible and head to Canada. However, they have a problem with the car's rod and they stop on the road close to Mari's house. When Phyllis tries to escape, the gang stabs her to death and shots Mari after humiliating and raping them. They seek shelter in Mari's home, but during the night, her mother overhears a conversation of the criminals telling that they have killed her daughter. She tells her husband and they plot a scheme to revenge the death of their princess.

Wes was born in Cleveland in 1939 and raised in a Baptist family. After an unhappy childhood, he left Cleveland to study for a degree in English Literature, at Wheaton College, Illinois. But after illness, he left the school for one year before returning to study psychology. In 1963, he took a degree in writing and psychology and in 1964 he took a Masters from J. Hopkins University. While he was a humanities college teacher, Wes married Bonnie Broecker, mother of both his children, Jonathan and Jessica. But after few years, they separated, and the children stayed with Bonnie. Wes left his job as a teacher, and after employment as taxi driver, he became a sound editor for a post-production company in New York. And after the co-direction of Together (1971) with Sean S. Cunningham, Wes made the horror movie The Last House on the Left (1972). paranormal activity
Paranormal Activity funziona così: un aspirante regista e sceneggiatore non ha una idea che sia una, così decide di fare qualcosa che hanno già tentano in diecimila prima di lui, quasi tutti senza alcun successo.
Prende un paio di protagonisti, una manciata di comparse, una telecamera semi-professionale ed inizia a girare il suo finto dcumentario: una allegra ma-non-troppo coppietta si trasferisce in una nuova casa, dove il fantasma/entità/demone/agente_del_fisco di turno che perseguita la signorina fin dall'infanzia tornerà a rompere le scatole (forse indispettito dal pessimo gusto per l'arredo).
Il film alterna scene di una noia mortale - decine e decine di minuti stile Sleep di Andy Warhol - ad altre da mal di mare (suggerimento: le telecamere a mano non vanno usate come delle maracas).
Di tanto in tanto qualcuno ha anche il cattivo gusto di parlare, ed allora l'ilarità è assicurata - diamine, c'è pure il fantasmologo della mutua!
Vaghi e vani tentativi di montare una tensione che non si concretizzerà mai, con i soliti rumori, urla e bassi sparati a palla.
Noia.
Costato meno di 15.000 dollari e distribuito in qualche festival ed un numero ridotto di sale, il film deve la sua notorietà all'essere capitato tra le annoiate mani di Steven Spielberg, e lo ha terrorizzato.
Nel momento in cui ha realizzato di aver tirato nel cesso un'ora e mezza della sua vita, si suppone.
Per fortuna di Spielberg, le sue notevoli risorse gli hanno consentito di vendicarsi del torto subito, rifilando la stessa fregatura a tutto il resto del mondo: per trasformare la merda in oro gli è bastato dichiarare lo spavento suscitato in lui dalla visione di tale gioiello (suppongo che nella versione integrale dell'intervista dichiari di aver rivisto, lo stesso giorno, anche Il Mondo Perduto, e che gli è piaciuto proprio un sacco... )
Insomma, ridefinisce il termine "fregatura" e - come è giusto che sia - è già in lavorazione il seguito.
Voto: se fosse un film, gli darei 1, ma non lo è; davvero: non basta che sia stato ripreso con una telecamera e proiettato in un cinema, per farne un film.

Undoubtedly one of the most influential film personalities in the history of film, Steven Spielberg is perhaps Hollywood's best known director and one of the wealthiest filmmakers in the world. Spielberg has countless big-grossing, critically acclaimed credits to his name, as producer, director and writer. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1946. He went to California State University Long Beach, but dropped out to pursue his entertainment career. He gained notoriety as an uncredited assistant editor on the classic western "Wagon Train" (1957). Among his early directing efforts were Battle Squad (1961), which combined World War II footage with footage of an airplane on the ground that he makes you believe is moving. He also directed Escape to Nowhere (1961), which featured children as World War Two soldiers, including his sister Anne Spielberg, and The Last Gun (1959), a western. All of these were short films. The next couple of years, Spielberg directed a couple of movies that would portend his future career in movies. In 1964, he directed Firelight (1964), a movie about aliens invading a small town. In 1967, he directed Slipstream (1967), which was unfinished. However, in 1968, he directed Amblin' (1968), which featured the desert prominently, and not the first of his movies in which the desert would feature so prominently. Amblin' also became the name of his production company, which turned out such classics as E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial (1982). Spielberg had a unique and classic early directing project, Duel (1971) (TV), with Dennis Weaver. The son of Ruthenian immigrants, Andy Warhol studied art at the Carnegie Institute of Technology. He worked as an advertising designer before becoming, in effect, the Father of Pop Art with his silk-screened pictures of Campbell's Soup cans and distorted images of Marilyn Monroe. He started directing films in 1963, if "directing" is the right word - most of his early work simply consisted of pointing the camera at something (a man asleep, the Empire State Building) and leaving it running, often for hours. His films gradually grew more sophisticated, with scripts and soundtracks, although they were generally performed by members of the Warhol "factory" - assorted groupies with little acting talent. After a near-fatal shooting by an unstable fan on June 3, 1968, Warhol retired from direct involvement in filmmaking, and under former assistant Paul Morrissey, the Warhol films became increasingly commercial. Warhol spent the 1970s and 1980s as a major pop culture figure, constantly attending parties and providing patronage to younger artists. He died in 1987 after a routine gallbladder operation at age 58.

Prende un paio di protagonisti, una manciata di comparse, una telecamera semi-professionale ed inizia a girare il suo finto dcumentario: una allegra ma-non-troppo coppietta si trasferisce in una nuova casa, dove il fantasma/entità/demone/agente_del_fisco di turno che perseguita la signorina fin dall'infanzia tornerà a rompere le scatole (forse indispettito dal pessimo gusto per l'arredo).
Il film alterna scene di una noia mortale - decine e decine di minuti stile Sleep di Andy Warhol - ad altre da mal di mare (suggerimento: le telecamere a mano non vanno usate come delle maracas).
Di tanto in tanto qualcuno ha anche il cattivo gusto di parlare, ed allora l'ilarità è assicurata - diamine, c'è pure il fantasmologo della mutua!
Vaghi e vani tentativi di montare una tensione che non si concretizzerà mai, con i soliti rumori, urla e bassi sparati a palla.
Noia.
Costato meno di 15.000 dollari e distribuito in qualche festival ed un numero ridotto di sale, il film deve la sua notorietà all'essere capitato tra le annoiate mani di Steven Spielberg, e lo ha terrorizzato.
Nel momento in cui ha realizzato di aver tirato nel cesso un'ora e mezza della sua vita, si suppone.
Per fortuna di Spielberg, le sue notevoli risorse gli hanno consentito di vendicarsi del torto subito, rifilando la stessa fregatura a tutto il resto del mondo: per trasformare la merda in oro gli è bastato dichiarare lo spavento suscitato in lui dalla visione di tale gioiello (suppongo che nella versione integrale dell'intervista dichiari di aver rivisto, lo stesso giorno, anche Il Mondo Perduto, e che gli è piaciuto proprio un sacco... )
Insomma, ridefinisce il termine "fregatura" e - come è giusto che sia - è già in lavorazione il seguito.
Voto: se fosse un film, gli darei 1, ma non lo è; davvero: non basta che sia stato ripreso con una telecamera e proiettato in un cinema, per farne un film.

Undoubtedly one of the most influential film personalities in the history of film, Steven Spielberg is perhaps Hollywood's best known director and one of the wealthiest filmmakers in the world. Spielberg has countless big-grossing, critically acclaimed credits to his name, as producer, director and writer. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1946. He went to California State University Long Beach, but dropped out to pursue his entertainment career. He gained notoriety as an uncredited assistant editor on the classic western "Wagon Train" (1957). Among his early directing efforts were Battle Squad (1961), which combined World War II footage with footage of an airplane on the ground that he makes you believe is moving. He also directed Escape to Nowhere (1961), which featured children as World War Two soldiers, including his sister Anne Spielberg, and The Last Gun (1959), a western. All of these were short films. The next couple of years, Spielberg directed a couple of movies that would portend his future career in movies. In 1964, he directed Firelight (1964), a movie about aliens invading a small town. In 1967, he directed Slipstream (1967), which was unfinished. Biografia:
The son of Ruthenian immigrants, Andy Warhol studied art at the Carnegie Institute of Technology. He worked as an advertising designer before becoming, in effect, the Father of Pop Art with his silk-screened pictures of Campbell's Soup cans and distorted images of Marilyn Monroe. He started directing films in 1963, if "directing" is the right word - most of his early work simply consisted of pointing the camera at something (a man asleep, the Empire State Building) and leaving it running, often for hours. His films gradually grew more sophisticated, with scripts and soundtracks, although they were generally performed by members of the Warhol "factory" - assorted groupies with little acting talent. After a near-fatal shooting by an unstable fan on June 3, 1968, Warhol retired from direct involvement in filmmaking, and under former assistant Paul Morrissey, the Warhol films became increasingly commercial. Warhol spent the 1970s and 1980s as a major pop culture figure, constantly attending parties and providing patronage to younger artists. He died in 1987 after a routine gallbladder operation at age 58.
